From Dulles International Airport (IAD) to The Westin Alexandria Old Town via the WMATA system.

1. Board the SILVER LINE towards LARGO (45 minutes)
2. Arrive at ROSSLYN METRO STATION
3. Board the BLUE LINE towards FRANCONIA-SPRINGFIELD (20 minutes)
4. Arrive at KING STREET METRO STATION
5. Follow signs to Exit station at KING STREET
6. Walk 0.4 Miles - 10 minutes
7. Take the escalator, pass the fare gate.
8. Exit via King St-Old Town Metrorail Station – King St., West of Commonwealth Ave.
9. Head southwest toward Diagonal Rd
10. Turn Right onto Diagonal Rd
11. Continue Straight to stay on Diagonal Rd
12. Continue onto Dulany St.
13. Turn Right onto Jamieson Ave
14. Turn Left onto Courthouse Square
15. Destination will be on the Left.

Getting to the Metrorail station from the Terminals:

Terminal 2: Use either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level which connect directly to the station.

Terminal 1: Exit the terminal to the streetside curb, and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Terminal 2 or North/South Parking 1 & 2, you can access an enclosed bridge which connects to the Metrorail station.

1. Board BLUE LINE towards FRANCONIA-SPRINGFIELD (8 minutes) Or Board YELLOW LINE towards HUNTINGTON (8 minutes)
2. Arrive at KING STREET METRO STATION
3. Follow signs to Exit station at KING STREET
4. Walk 0.4 Miles – 10 minutes
5. Take the escalator, pass the fare gate.
6. Exit via King St-Old Town Metrorail Station – King St., West of Commonwealth Ave.
7. Head southwest toward Diagonal Rd
8. Turn Right onto Diagonal Rd
9. Continue Straight to stay on Diagonal Rd

From Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI) to The Westin Alexandria Old Town via Amtrak and the WMATA system

BWI offers free, frequent, and convenient shuttle service between the MARC/Amtrak station and the BWI Marshall Airport terminal. Shuttle Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Shuttles run approximately every 10 minutes, except between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. when service operates every 25 minutes. Shuttles pick up on the lower level, outside of baggage claim at four designated stops to take you to the MARC/Amtrak station.

2. Board METRO RED LINE towards SHADY GROVE
3. Arrive at GALLERY PLACE CHINATOWN METRO STATION
4. Board YELLOW LINE towards HUNTINGTON (8 minutes)
5. Arrive at KING STREET METRO STATION
6. Follow signs to Exit station at KING STREET
